September!!

Time FLIES!! It's September!! The kids are back in school & now schedules are getting back to "normal". Time to get back into the healthy eating & moving schedule! How do you cram that in between work, the kids after school activities & sleep? Here are a few ideas:

* Schedule time - Put it in your calendar, make it an appointment and stick to your schedule. You wouldn't put off an important client, would you? What is more important than your health?

* Use the kids practice - drop the kids off and get another parent or two to go for a walk/run during that time. Having a partner to exercise with makes it more fun and motivational.

* Get up a half hour earlier - spend the first 30 minutes of your day stretching and doing simple home exercises like jumping rope, push ups, crunches, and squats.

* Plan your week - set time aside during the weekend to plan your week's lunches and dinners and exercise times.

* Cook in larger quantities - refridgerate or freeze in one meal portion sizes for easy meals later in the week.
